Redcarpet comes first at backend, then Ketax renders after HTML is rendered\r\n\r\nI met some issue for writing multiple line equations. For example:\r\n\r\nI wrote this; The `\\\\` means a line break in the formula:\r\n\r\n```\r\n\\begin{align*}\r\n I_n &= \\int_{0}^{\\frac{\\pi}{2}} \\sin^n{x} dx \\\\\r\n &= \\sin{x} \\cdot \\sin^{n-1}{x}\r\n\\end{align*}\r\n```\r\n\r\n**Expected**:\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n**Actual**: as `\\` is used to escape chars in redcarpet, the two `\\\\` became one `\\`, so it becomes\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n## Workaround\r\n\r\nIn order to make it work, I have to use three `\\\\\\` or four `\\\\\\\\` to make it render two `\\\\`:\r\n\r\n```\r\n\\begin{align*}\r\n I_n &= \\int_{0}^{\\frac{\\pi}{2}} \\sin^n{x} dx \\\\\\\r\n &= \\sin{x} \\cdot \\sin^{n-1}{x}\r\n\\end{align*}\r\n```\r\n\r\nor\r\n\r\n```\r\n\\begin{align*}\r\n I_n &= \\int_{0}^{\\frac{\\pi}{2}} \\sin^n{x} dx \\\\\\\\\r\n &= \\sin{x} \\cdot \\sin^{n-1}{x}\r\n\\end{align*}\r\n```\r\n\r\nHowever, this is just a workaround; Because two `\\\\` is standard in Latex, it works globally, I have to manually add extra `\\` to make it work together with redcarpet.\r\n\r\n## Question\r\n\r\n1. Is it possible to stop `\\` escaping under some conditions: for example between `\\begin` and `\\end`?\r\n\r\n2. Otherwise, I can use some extra symbols to isolate them. I can use `$$$` to wrap all Latex thing like:\r\n\r\n```\r\n$$$\r\n\\begin{align*}\r\n I_n &= \\int_{0}^{\\frac{\\pi}{2}} \\sin^n{x} dx \\\\\r\n &= \\sin{x} \\cdot \\sin^{n-1}{x}\r\n\\end{align*}\r\n$$$\r\n```\r\n\r\nIs there any way I can make `$$$` work like three ```s? Just wrap it with a `` and keep everything as-is.\r\n\r\n\r\n","reactions":{"url":"https://api.github.com/repos/vmg/redcarpet/issues/734/reactions","total_count":0,"+1":0,"-1":0,"laugh":0,"hooray":0,"confused":0,"heart":0,"rocket":0,"eyes":0},"timeline_url":"https://api.github.com/repos/vmg/redcarpet/issues/734/timeline","performed_via_github_app":null,"state_reason":null},{"url":"https://api.github.com/repos/vmg/redcarpet/issues/733","repository_url":"https://api.github.com/repos/vmg/redcarpet","labels_url":"https://api.github.com/repos/vmg/redcarpet/issues/733/labels{/name}","comments_url":"https://api.github.com/repos/vmg/redcarpet/issues/733/comments","events_url":"https://api.github.com/repos/vmg/redcarpet/issues/733/events","html_url":"https://github.com/vmg/redcarpet/pull/733","id":1537676755,"node_id":"PR_kwDOABc9os5Hm9UO","number":733,"title":"Test against Ruby 3.0 and 3.1","user":{"login":"DannyBen","id":2405099,"node_id":"MDQ6VXNlcjI0MDUwOTk=","avatar_url":"https://avatars.githubusercontent.com/u/2405099?v=4","gravatar_id":"","url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen","html_url":"https://github.com/DannyBen","followers_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/followers","following_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/following{/other_user}","gists_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/gists{/gist_id}","starred_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/starred{/owner}{/repo}","subscriptions_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/subscriptions","organizations_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/orgs","repos_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/repos","events_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/events{/privacy}","received_events_url":"https://api.github.com/users/DannyBen/received_events","type":"User","site_admin":false},"labels":[],"state":"open","locked":false,"assignee":null,"assignees":[],"milestone":null,"comments":2,"created_at":"2023-01-18T09:32:28Z","updated_at":"2023-01-23T21:21:44Z","closed_at":null,"author_association":"NONE","active_lock_reason":null,"draft":false,"pull_request":{"url":"https://api.github.com/repos/vmg/redcarpet/pulls/733","html_url":"https://github.com/vmg/redcarpet/pull/733","diff_url":"https://github.com/vmg/redcarpet/pull/733.diff","patch_url":"https://github.com/vmg/redcarpet/pull/733.patch","merged_at":null},"body":"I believe Ruby 3.2 should also be added, but not sure if RVM has it yet.\r\nAlso, perhaps consider merging any of the PRs that switch from Travis to GitHub Actions? \r\nPlease look at the agendas for each academic year workshop - shared with facilitators at the following links. Pay particular attention to the \"Supplies\" portion of the agenda that the facilitator will need from regional partners to run a successful workshop.\r\n\r\n- **2020 Teacher Welcome Kits**\r\n- **2019 CS Discoveries Agenda**\r\n- **2019 CS Principles Agenda**\r\n\r\n
\r\nThese guidelines explain the type of space your facilitators need to run a successful workshop and provide important tips to consider for logistics and teacher experience.
\r\n\r\n| |Requirements and Suggestions|\r\n|:-----|:-----------|\r\n|**Location**|**Ask yourself these questions when searching for the ideal location for your workshop.**
- Central location: Is the location central to the spread of teachers attending?
- Catering: Are there several options to order from within 20 miles? Is there an internal or preferred caterer for the venue?
- Parking: Does parking cost anything? Will teachers need parking passes? Is the lot close to an entrance? *Tip: teachers are more likely to show up to the workshop when parking is free.*
- Access: Will there be someone from the venue there to open the building, help with getting supplies to your room(s), and be available to help with technology as needed during the workshop?|\r\n|**Rooms and
Set Up**|Reservation time:
Every workshop requires 6 hours of content. Add breakfast/registration, lunch and any additional things you want to do with teachers as time on top of that.
Rooms Needed:
- One room for entire group
- Breakout room to set up catering and for eating. Hallway space also works. We want to avoid interrupting the session by setting up food in the room.
- Wall space for hanging poster sized paper with Blue painter's tape
Seating
- Pods of 4 people for the size of the group. We recommend 8 pods.| \r\n|**Technology
Requirements**| - Projector and screen
- Power outlets and extension cords
- Wifi that can support access by all participants (4 MB/s minimum, 8 MB/s is ideal.)
|\r\n|**Logistical and Facilitator One Pager Information**|- Physical Address of Workshop
- Address to ship supplies (If needed)
- Map of the Campus and/or building to help teachers find the room. Driving instructions should be provded to teachers. This can be done via Google Maps or Bing Maps.
- Wifi strength, name and password. All participants will need to be on the network at the same time with no lag.
- Arrangments for Access: You should make arrangements with your venue contact to give you access to the building and help you locate supplies.|\r\n
