Just a line or two to say that I landed safely at Liverpool yesterday
(Friday) @ 1.30 pm. after a very good passage for the time of year.—We
had a strong gale of wind on Thursday off the south coast
of Ireland but this was all the really stormy weather that we had.
I had no seasickness whatever & the gale simply afforded me a
magnificient & intensely enjoyable spectacle. But alas for those less favoured!
Will Law met me on the landing stage & I went with him home—a little outside Liverpool—for the evening.—Came on here this morning.
I wired to Johnston& Greenhalgh
from L'pool, & partly expect Johnston this aftn.
But I haste this letter for the despatch from here in case he does not come
Am quite well, and find all well here. I quite enjoy getting home again—pleasant as my trip has been.
I will write to you again more fully for next mail.—Love to you always from my heart & God bless you.—
Love to Mrs Davis & to Warry
Yours affectionately J W Wallace
