ireceived​ I received​ your kind letter some time ago iwas​ I was​ truly glad to hear from you iwas​ I was​ sick and am not well now itook​ I took​ aheavy​ a heavy​ cold had the Doctor Called once ihave​ I have​ some Cough yet but go around the house and sit up the most of the time an​ and​ inhopes​ in hopes​ of going out in afew​ a few​ days we got Bethuels​ Bethuel's​ papers and your picture and sent all the things overto​ over to​ him we all see the picture and was very much pleased to see it Mary said that is the man that saved our brother's life to one of our neighbours Mary and David has gone to   Mrs Smith (Bethuel's Mother) her brother, Halsey Smiths avisiting​ a visiting​ now they will go to their boat the last of the month he says he will try and find you when he goes to philidelphia​ Philadelphia​ perhaps you will see them both this summer Bethuels​ Bethuel's​ youngest little boy has ben​ been​ scalded with tea on his stomach they sent for the Doctor that is the last we have heard that is akind​ a kind​ hearted little boy and agood​ a good​ child ilove​ I love​ him you mail your letters right we live in the south west part of the town if you should mail your letter Queensbury it would go to the north part avillage​ a village​ bythe​ by the​ name of the rider we dont​ don't​ go there once ayear​ a year​   i​ I​ thank you for all your preasants​ presents​ you sent me i​ I​ read with intrest​ interest​ and thought of our kind friend although far away perhaps we all may see eachother​ each other​ yet our Children are anxious to see you the picture you sent Bethuel looks some like my grandfather Deen that is my fathers​ father's​ father if Harvy Allen and Sally should go to philadelphia​ Philadelphia​ they will find you ishould​ I should​ like to have your picture Bethuel has got the one you sent to his father and me iwas​ I was​ to Halsey Smith when irote​ I wrote​ the other letter to you istayed​ I stayed​ there sevral​ several​ days they live about two miles from glensfalls​ Glens Falls​ iwent​ I went​ to meeting one Sunday evening and enjoyed my meting​ meeting​ firstrate   there was 1 baptised and sevral​ several​ more received in ful​ full​ felowship​ fellowship​ with the Church there has ben​ been​ areformation​ a reformation​ to glens falls​ Glens Falls​ this winter irejoiced​ I rejoiced​ to see it the evening iwas​ I was​ there they sung old fashioned hymns and old tunes it seemed like old times when iwas​ I was​ young idont​ I dont​ now​ know​ as you can read my riting​ writing​ but we feel anxious to hear from you and how you get along
